This session is open to IMSANZ members and non-IMSANZ colleagues working in leadership roles in general and acute care medicine, medical assessment unit, hospital in home etc.
This is an in-person only event.
We look forward to welcoming colleagues to the 2025 IMSANZ General and Acute Care Medicine Leaders Forum. We encourage you to register irrespective of whether you hold a titled leadership role, are an emerging leader or like most General Physicians, are a leader within your clinical practice.
During the first session of 90 minutes your facilitators will host a novel method of introductions, describe key findings from the recent IMSANZ member survey, provide updates on IMSANZ initiatives relating to education and workforce- all with ample opportunity for discussion and audience contributions.
The second session of 60 minutes will be focused on introducing the topic of Clinical Indicators and together we will commence initial steps in the development of the IMSANZ General Medicine Clinical Indicator Set. To prepare for this part of the day, we would like you to consider measures that we as General Physicians value as meaningful indicators of clinical performance and service structure.
The 2025 facilitators will be preparing information from the session to share with participants via email when you have returned to your usual roles: allowing time for you to consider your own “next steps” with regards contributing your leadership skills to the IMSANZ initiatives discussed in the forum. Facilitators: Dr Nicole Hancock, Dr Karen Taylor, Dr Sophia Thompkins
Date: Wednesday 27 August 2025 Time: 1.00pm - 4.00pm Cost: Registration for this session is included in the IMSANZ Conference 2025 registration fee. A fee of $100 will be payable for non-registrants to attend this session.
