Kasha is an infectious diseases physician interested in HIV, hepatitis and tuberculosis. She trained in Australia, then spent 10 years based in London where she worked on international clinical trials in TB, and then clinical and laboratory research in HIV and hepatitis.
Kasha currently works at the Royal Melbourne and Frankston Hospitals in general infectious diseases and Antimicrobial stewardship, in particular post-surgical infections. She also continues to undertake laboratory research at the Peter Doherty Institute of Infection and Immunity into liver disease pathogenesis in HIV-hepatitis B coinfection. She was also involved in working/writing groups for the publication of australianhepcguidelines (online).
