Stroke Clot Retrieval – Beyond Limitations Of Time
There have been significant advances in the hyperacute treatment of ischaemic stroke in recent years including endovascular clot retrieval for patients with intracranial large vessel occlusion. Successful treatment can result in functional independence in over 50% of patients in otherwise a devastating form of ischaemic stroke. More recent research has enabled selection of patients for treatment presenting late or with unknown onset time on basis of favourable imaging characteristics. This talk will provide an overview of recent advances in stroke endovascular clot retrieval.”
