President's Award in Honour of A/Prof Alasdair MacDonald

This year, we are proud to introduce the inaugural President’s Award in honour of A/Prof Alasdair Macdonald, to be presented at our Adelaide Conference. Alasdair served IMSANZ as President from 2007 to 2010 and again on Council and the Board until 2023, recognised for his leadership, integrity, and dedication to advancing general and acute care medicine. The recipient of this special award will be revealed during the conference opening plenary and will have the privilege of delivering a talk that reflects the passion and professionalism Alasdair brought to our specialty.
